A security guard was shot several times early Monday (April 29) morning at the home of Cash XO, a music executive who has worked with the Weekend and other notable artists, according to the Los Angeles Times.

Cash XO, whose real name is Amir Esmailian, is an Iranian Canadian producer and talent manager. He's worked with Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert as well as Beyoncé and Jay-Z. He's also the co-founder of XO Records.

Aerial footage on KTLA Los Angeles of Esmailian's mansion showed the XO logo on a basketball court on the property.

Just before 2:30 on Monday morning, police were called to Esmailian's home in the Los Angeles suburb of Encino, Calif.

Although Esmailian got caught up in the recent rap feud between Drake and other artists, police told the L.A. Times that the incident looked like an attempted home invasion rather than anything connected to the music industry.

Police investigators told the L.A. Times that the wounded security guard was one of the callers that notified 911 about the shooting. He said that the suspects were wearing hoodies and surgical masks.

The guard, who was hit multiple times, is expected to survive, but had to undergo surgery.

Police investigators told the L.A. Times that four people were inside the mansion when the shooting took place, but it's unclear whether Esmailian was one of them.
