Max B is back in the spotlight, talking openly about a past media appearance that stirred up some trouble, as he gets used to life after prison.

Released in November after about 16 years for a robbery gone wrong, Max B has been popping up again. The Harlem rapper is catching up with old friends, working on tracks, and giving interviews in which he talks about what happened back in the day.

HotNewHipHop says he brought up an interview with Angela Yee on her "Lip Service" podcast during an appearance on "BagFuel."

Max B addressed Yee's assertions that the interview devolved into chaos. Max B acknowledged that the situation escalated, admitting, "I pulled my pants down," as he felt compelled to clarify his response to her question about his size.

HotNewHipHop said this admission took off online, with folks reacting to how blunt he was. They noted it brought back old talks about Max B's unpredictable behavior in interviews from years ago.

Since getting out, the rapper has also been dealing with rumors. He was questioned on the "Dog In The Yard" podcast about whether he turned informant in order to be freed sooner. Max B gave some background on his case. He pointed out that what people think about plea deals isn't always how things are in court.

Max B said that taking a plea deal doesn't mean you're ratting on others. HotNewHipHop mentioned this as part of his effort to set things straight. He was first sentenced to 75 years in 2009 after being found guilty on nine counts, but that conviction was later tossed out. In 2016, he took a plea deal for aggravated manslaughter, which cut his sentence down to 20 years.

There were also whispers that Max B and his crew were involved in a fight with Ja Rule. Ja Rule shot down these rumors on social media, saying, "Tasha, why are you lying to these good ppl. Yes some btch as n****s tried to jump me. No it wasn't at sei less and I'm chilling smoking a joint watching SVP wit not a scratch on me..."

Following the discussion, Max B clarified on social media that he and his people should not be associated with anything negative. "We grown we on positive vibes only."

As Max B gets back to his career, his recent words suggest he wants to stay away from drama while still addressing questions about his past.

In separate news, according to AllHipHop, rumors swirled that Max B and Ja Rule were involved in a backstage altercation during a Brandy and Monica tour stop in Brooklyn, though details remain unclear.

Reports shifted throughout the night, ranging from a physical fight to claims that Max B's crew attacked Ja Rule. Ja Rule later appeared unharmed on social media, while Max B dismissed the rumors as not "wavy."

A circulating video shows a tense moment near Ja Rule, but no confirmed physical confrontation, leaving the situation unresolved as fans hope Max B avoids further trouble after his recent release from prison.
