Well, the Twitterverse may have just gotten a little more interesting as Monica Lewinsky decided to join it earlier today. One simple tweet that said, "#HereWeGo" launched tons of interest and speculation into what exactly Lewinsky is going to share with the world — especially after choosing to remain silent for the better part of a decade. It is not that she has yet to post anything amazing, but the potential for what she could choose to say that has everyone excited — especailly her affair with President Bill Clinton.

Back in 1998, Lewinsky was the White House intern who had an infamous fling with then-President Clinton. Their affair was a mess that eventually resulted in his admitting that he had lied to the American people before facing charges of perjury and obstruction of justice.

After the dust settled, Lewinsky spent years on the down low, trying to piece together a decent life for herself while remaining the punch line to a multitude of dirty jokes. Just recently, she has emerged from the shadows as a social advocate, weighing in on topics that plague women.

Vanity Fair has Lewinsky on their payroll as a contributor and her essays within the publication's pages on things like nude photo hacking show she is smarter than most of America wanted to believe. In her new Twitter profile, she describes herself as a "social activist. public speaker. contributor to vanity fair. knitter of things without sleeves" and in under eight hours Lewinsky's verified account is pushing 25,000 followers.

When it comes to the Clinton scandal, she may choose to keep her mouth shut or at least not divulge anything new, but that is not going to stop people from watching her account — just in case she tosses a grenade out for the public to consume.

Are you one of Lewinsky's new followers? What do you think it is that so many people want her to say? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below.
