If you've been following the happenings around Conan O'Brien's TBS series CONAN, as well as what went down beforehand, then you're well aware of the fact that once the host took over the Tonight Show spot, not everyone in his Late Night crew went out to Los Angeles. Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band drummer Max Weinberg chose to hang back in New York and continue being with his band. But on last night's episode of CONAN, that all changed!

During O'Brien's monologue, the host took the time to note that it appeared the show's current drummer, James Wormworth, was missing from the band. What happened? Apparently he wandered off "to go check out the old abandoned mine..." as the Basic Cable Band's trumpet player Mark Pender noted.

After learning that "Worm" had fallen down the mine, O'Brien was in need of a drummer. Luckily, a familiar face was in the audience. Yes, Max Weinberg!!

Check out the reunion below:

Once taking to the drummer's chair, it looked as if Weinberg was right back into the swing of things following his five-year absence, hilariously riffing with O'Brien like it was the old days of Late Night. Actually, in watching the video, it may be safe to say that Weinberg could have been a little too comfortable... as he wouldn't stop drumming!

So, will we be seeing more of Weinberg? Who knows!

Be sure to tune into CONAN weeknights at 11 p.m. on TBS.
