Apparently, Pippa Middleton made such an impression on NBC after sitting for an interview last summer that the network has been courting her for a job. Kate Middleton's younger sister taped an interview with Matt Lauer for The Today Show that aired in June and the ratings were spectacular. The numbers confirmed what the network had already known: Americans love royals, even if they are only a married-in extension of the monarchy. Kate's marriage to Prince William has caused enormous interest in Pippa and NBC is hopeful that they will be able to add her as a new correspondent to Today.

According to a new report by Page Six, Pippa has been working on a test piece in Utah and, if all goes well, then it will sign her to do special reports on subjects like health and fitness.

"Today has been doing a test piece with Pippa, and if it works out well — and it looks like it will — they will hire her as a correspondent. The deal with NBC isn't done yet, but everybody is hopeful it will be done very soon. They want to make sure Pippa is comfortable in this role. The ratings for Pippa's interview with Matt Lauer showed she is very popular with Today viewers, and she really impressed everyone at NBC," said a source.

Pippa also recently debuted a new monthly column in Britain's Waitrose magazine that will focus on health and fitness. She claims her family raised her to do everything in moderation, so that naturally means balancing out her chocolate and wine with workouts three to five days a week. While being Kate's sister has obviously helped Pippa get in the door with bigger companies, she is going to have to really hustle to prove her worth.
