• Lorde: Her Moniker As Inspired By "Royals"

Lorde is a breakout pop star: her debut album "Heroine" had a platinum sales record, the carrier single "Royals" topped the Billboard Hot 100 charts, and she grabbed herself two Grammy statues. Know more about her.
  • Prince Charles Claims That Princess Charlotte is a Much Easier Baby Than George Was

Can you believe that Princess Charlotte is already six weeks old? Of course, in the days since her birth we have heard precious little about how Kate Middleton, Prince William and little Prince George have adjusted to the new royal arrival. Just as when George was born nearly two years ago, the family has been pretty private while adjusting to their new normal. Of course the media wants any info available on Charlotte and thankfully, her doting grandfather, Prince Charles has offered up a bit of information.
  • Is Prince Harry Dating Newly-Single 'Doctor Who' Star Jenna Coleman?

Will Prince Harry every find his princess? He seems to be very tactile in his dating approach but that doesn't mean that he hides everything behind closed doors. Harry's last long term relationship (with Cressida Bonas) ended about 18-months ago and in the time that has followed he has proven to be pretty choosey when it comes to women. The most recent lady to capture his attention is Jenna Coleman, who plays Doctor Who's time-traveling assistant on the legendary series of the same name. Not only was Harry spotted chatting with Coleman, but it was a very touchy-feely encounter at a charity Polo match.
  • Prince Andrew Will Address 'Sex Slave' Allegations at World Economic Forum

It sounds like Prince Andrew is preparing to do something that is fairly unthinkable for most members of the royal family. He is seriously considering addressing the accusations that he paid for a teenage sex slave 13 years ago. Virginia Roberts has filed a civil suit against convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, and Prince Andrew is named in it as one of the men she was paid to have sex with when she was only 17. Andrew is expected to speak in Davos, Switzerland, Thursday, Jan. 22, at the World Economic Forum and he is reportedly going to address the scandal.
  • Queen Elizabeth II Mortified by Allegations of Prince Andrew's 'Sex Slave' Teen

The royal family's PR machine is working overtime to try and categorically shoot down the claims of a woman who insists she was a "sex slave" to Prince Andrew more than a decade ago when she was still a teenager. The allegations were made as part of a civil suit against already-convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, who was once one of the Duke of York's best friends. Andrew cut his holiday on the ski slopes short in order to return to Buckingham Palace to face Queen Elizabeth II Sunday, Jan. 4. The royal family has now issued a few statements, emphatically denying the claims that Virginia Roberts has made against Andrew, and even his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson has spoken out on his behalf, but this scandal does not seem like it is going away anytime soon. While Elizabeth is and always has been as strong and stoic as it gets, her health is failing and she has heart issues that do not need to be compounded by this sort of stress. According to a report by Radar Online, she is mortified that her favorite son is being accused of such impropriety. No matter what the real truth is, Andrew is unlikely to face any type of criminal punishment because he is protected under a deal that Epstein took when dealing with the government. That does not mean he will escape the wreckage of this kind of scandal unscathed, though.
  • Kate Middleton Making Anmer Hall Country House Her Main Residence

When Kate Middleton and Prince William settled into their new apartment at Kensington Palace in September 2013, they had hoped that having their young family based in London would be the best move possible. Instead, it has made them fair game for every member of the royal family who feels like stopping in, and it also has meant that Middleton has been too close to her built-in nemesis Camilla Parker-Bowles. Several months ago, the couple began renovating their country home at Anmer Hall with the intention of making it their primary residence. Rather than having her parenting style under Queen Elizabeth II's daily microscope, Middleton deciding that raising little Prince George in the country with more freedom was in his best interest. Once it was confirmed that the couple was expecting baby No. 2, the need to distance themselves from the chaos of city life became even greater. According to a new report by "People" magazine, Middleton is fully expected to make Anmer Hall her primary residence with her children. While William will certainly be with his young family the majority of the time, he will also likely be stationed out of Kensington Palace for the sake of the family business. Middleton and her brother and sister had a great childhood in the country, and the duchess seems to be determined to give her children a similar kind of upbringing as the one her parents gave her.
  • Rumors Reignited Over Possibility of James Hewitt Being Prince Harry's Real Dad

A controversial new West End play is reigniting the debate over who Prince Harry's true biological father is. It is no secret that Princess Diana was having an affair with cavalry officer James Hewitt 18 months before Harry's birth, and many have alleged he is that prince's real father. It is a claim Hewitt himself has always denied, but he approved of the dialogue in "Truth, Lies, Diana" that seems to indicate he is Harry's father. Jon Conway wrote the play and reportedly spoke with several people who were close to Diana, including Hewitt: "I have been talking to James over a period of two years. I met him and he told me some quite remarkable things that have never been said in the public domain, particularly about when his relationship with Diana started. There is a startling revelation that James Hewitt makes and he has allowed me to make it in the play. This is the fact that his relationship with Diana started 18 months before Prince Harry was born. "We are not saying he is Prince Harry's father although the audience may take their own view on that. I don't know if James Hewitt is Prince Harry's father, and James Hewitt has always denied it either because it isn't true or out of some sense of loyalty."
  • Kate Middleton, Prince William Give Us Early Christmas Gift: New Pics of Prince George

Part of the appeal of Kate Middleton and Prince William seems to be the fact that the media and fans alike seem to believe them when they say they just want a normal life. Statements like that are not directly followed by weird, two-block walks with Prince George meant for the paparazzi to get a couple photos to leak. Instead, they work when they have to and steer clear of the spotlight the rest of the time. Prince George tends to be off limits and even if a member of the press could grab a shot of him it seems unlikely it would be sold out of respect for the royals. It is because of that that Middleton and William have released a few new photos of their son. The shots were reportedly taken by "a member of the household staff" on the stairs on Kensington Palace. The last time we saw Prince George was for his birthday in July, and boy has he grown. No longer a baby, George is a toddler on the go. Perhaps the best part of the new photos is the fact that they capture his personality. You can tell that this kid is a fun handful and he must be giving his pregnant mom a real run for it. What are your thoughts on the way Middleton and William have opted to shield their son from the press? He is only a few weeks younger than North West, so just think of how many times she has been carted to inappropriate events — like NYFW — as the perfect accessory to whatever Kim Kardashian is wearing. Her daughter has been photographed like crazy, but have we ever actually seen North West smile in any of those shots? It looks like Prince George is the happier kid, don't you think?
  • Lorde Admits Liking to Trawl for Inorganics

One of the biggest teen stars in the world, Lorde is about as recognizable as any major musician worldwide. At 18, however, she is barely out of high school and still in the prime of her youth. With that youth comes some odd tendencies that one might expect from a teenager regardless of whether or not they are in the spotlight 24/7. In an interview with "Stella" — the British newspaper "The Telegraph's" weekly edition — the "Royals" star reveals that she likes to go sifting through other people's trash for useful items. The interview also goes on to discuss "Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and her first time in contact with Jennifer Lawrence, who on the set "totally fanned out" when she saw Lorde. She also discusses how she handles her image as a teenage girl pop star and why she eschews the red carpet, but the most interesting caveat is how she takes part in a New Zealand recycling/reuse initiative where each year everyone clears out old junk they are no longer using, like cabinets, cloths, TVs, etc., and puts them out on the street for others to take. It is then shipped off to a landfill, but before that people go through other people's trash and potentially find their own treasures. One of those individuals trawling the trash is Lorde. Lorde describes her passion for going out on the hunt: "See, I'm boring because my favorite thing to do is trawl the inorganics. Do you have inorganics here?"
  • Jason Knauf's 1st Job As New Royal Press Secretary? Make Prince William, Kate Middleton Look More Romantic

Just yesterday, Nov. 22, we told you that Jason Knauf was named the new press secretary for Prince William, Kate Middleton and Prince Harry. The 30-year-old is considered an industry whiz and also new to the royal family, something William has insisted upon. He did not want to import a media handler who had worked either at Buckingham Palace or Clarence House for fear their loyalty could be divided. Knauf will have the young royals's best interests in mind, and it is going to be his job to promote them as a more modern family. Part of William and Middleton's media success has been attributed to the fact that they have been promoted as a fairly normal couple that just so happen to have important jobs and lots of cash. They like to do things commoners also do, and there now seems to be a push to make William seem a bit softer. "People" magazine featured an interview with British florist Paula Pryke, who just received the Order of the British Empire from William last week for exemplary service.
  • NBC's 'Today' Hoping to Land Exclusive 1st Joint American Interview with Kate Middleton, Prince William

NBC is sure working hard to get in good with the royal family. First the network scored an exclusive interview last summer with Pippa Middleton, and that went so well that Kate Middleton's sister is now said to be in contention for a spot with "The Today Show" as a lifestyles correspondent. Now we are hearing that "Today" is also working hard to try and secure the first joint American interview with Middleton and her husband, Prince William. We told you the other day that the young couple is planning to travel to the States in a few weeks and will be spending time in New York City. There is also a pretty good chance that little Prince George will be traveling with them, and it is an opportunity that NBC is dying to take full advantage of. ABC is also supposedly vying for a similar interview, but because of Pippa's connection with "Today," it seems more likely that they would agree to grant that morning show their first interview.
  • Dave Grohl: Lorde's 'Royals' a 'Revolution in a Sea of Bulls--t,' Slams Pop Music

Dave Grohl established that he was a fan of Lorde earlier this year, and he even invited the New Zealand singer to perform with Nirvana at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony in April. The Foo Fighters frontman continued to praise the singer-songwriter in a new interview, especially her "Pure Heroine" hit "Royals." In an interview with the Red Bulletin, Grohl talked about why he and Krist Novoselic chose to perform with female lead vocalists for their Rock and Roll Hall of Fame performance. "Because Kurt was a feminist," he said about the band's deceased leader, Kurt Cobain. "And someone suggested Joan Jett. I mean, Joan Jett, she's the first lady of rock 'n' roll. She's the one. Then it was like, 'What about Kim Gordon?' She and Kurt were great friends, they loved each other and Sonic Youth were our heroes. 'Yeah, let's get Kim.'" "Lorde was my idea," he added about the pop singer who performed "All Apologies" with the band. "Her song 'Royals' is its own little revolution in the sea of bulls--t." Grohl went on to call today's pop music "superficial" and "devoid of meaning."
  • Prince William, Kate Middleton to Visit NYC in Late November, Prince George May Also Come

There is an ever-so-slight chance that New Yorkers might actually catch a glimpse of little Prince George later this month. It was revealed earlier this fall that Prince William was planning on visiting New York City, and at that time his wife, Kate Middleton, was knee-deep in morning sickness. She was canceling scheduled royal appearances on a weekly basis back then and the royals were not sure if Middleton was going to remain ill right up until the day she delivered her second child. Luckily, in recent weeks Middleton has rebounded. She is still not 100 percent, but she is well enough to put on a gown and smile for a few hours. Middleton is also fairly desperate to make up for all those missed appearances, mainly because she hates letting Queen Elizabeth down. She has traveled a bit recently, proving that she is capable of doing so, and because of that Middleton is now expected to tour NYC with her husband in late November. There are also rumors that Prince George may also accompany his parents to the Big Apple. The future heir to the throne's last official trip with his parents was last April, when the family spent nearly a month Down Under.
  • Will Pippa Middleton Become Newest 'Today' Correspondent?

Apparently, Pippa Middleton made such an impression on NBC after sitting for an interview last summer that the network has been courting her for a job. Kate Middleton's younger sister taped an interview with Matt Lauer for "The Today Show" that aired in June and the ratings were spectacular. The numbers confirmed what the network had already known: Americans love royals, even if they are only a married-in extension of the monarchy. Kate's marriage to Prince William has caused enormous interest in Pippa and NBC is hopeful that they will be able to add her as a new correspondent to Today. According to a new report by Page Six, Pippa has been working on a test piece in Utah and, if all goes well, then it will sign her to do special reports on subjects like health and fitness.
  • Princess Beatrice Hates Kate Middleton for Stepping on Her Toes — Again

The royal family is just like any other family out there. There seems to be a bit of a notion that being part of the monarchy means things are easier, when in fact some of the battles that occur behind the scenes are uglier than a Kardashian fight playing out in the media. Usually when we are talking about royal feuds, Camilla Parker Bowles is somehow involved because her long-standing resentment of Kate Middleton is epic, but she is not the only one who cannot stand the duchess. Apparently, Princess Beatrice feels constantly overshadowed by Prince William's wife, and so her comments do not usually reach all the way across the pond.
