Carlton's dance moves on The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air are legendary. It would only make sense that his actor, Alfonso Ribeiro, would take his talents to Dancing With The Stars. Ribeiro chose the smash single from DJ Snake and Lil Jon, "Turn Down For What," that echoes stadiums and clubs everywhere (via YourEDM). Carlton's partners Witney and Lindsay Arnold come out blazing, laying down a crisp, clean routine that flows with the twists and turns of the song and takes full advantage of the energy put out by "Turn Down For What."

The routine received a standing ovation from the crowd and even the judges who loved the performance. Everyone, even Len Goodman, the 70-year-old former ballroom dancer and dance coach, enjoyed the dance, though he did not particularly enjoy the song choice. They scored a perfect 40 on the dance.

Alfonso managed to do this on an injured groin, which he said in an interview to TVGuide he can only give 85 percent because of it. The season has just begun and this is a smashing way to get the public on his side. It will be interesting to see what tracks Alfonso goes with and how he decides to balance the need to be sophistication and crowd-pleasing energy. "Turn Down For What" has become ubiquitous in pop culture; even the first lady was singing it. Showing up on Dancing With The Stars is only one more boundary to cross.

It would make sense for electronic dance music to be included in the show, since the genre is meant for dancing. The show has a more traditional approach and don't expect people to start shuffling any time soon, but inclusion of EDM tracks on the show shouldn't be too far out of the discussion. Mixing traditional dance and dance music is a cool blend to explore.
