Lorde has proven herself to be a big fan of R&B and hip-hop, having covered Kanye West's "Flashing Lights" in concert and cutting a song with Stromae, Pusha T and Q-Tip for the upcoming Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack. For her performance on BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge, the "Royals" singer once again flaunted her love of those genres by performing a cover of Jeremih's recent hit "Don't Tell 'Em," which you can check out below.

"I have basically been a really big fan of this song since I first started hearing it around," Lorde told BBCvia Pitchfork. "I love the vocal melodies. I think they're really smart and just consider them cool. It's quite a saucy song or something and I think it would be interesting to flip the dynamic and make that power mine."

Lorde also performed her recent single "Yellow Flicker Beat" from the Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack, which you can check out here:

The Lorde-curated Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1 soundtrack is set for release next week, Nov. 17. The soundtrack includes contributions from Chvrches, Tove Lo, Bat for Lashes, Miguel, Kanye West, The Chemical Brothers and more.

"It was really important to me with the soundtrack that people know how involved I was," Lorde told Billboard about the soundtrack. "A lot of that was me reaching out to people directly, having a conversation on the phone, sending an email, sending a text, because I wanted people to know that your song isn't just going to be flung into some pot and chosen later. I really cared about what was happening."
