Following the grand jury decision not to indict Officer Darren Wilson in the Mike Brown shooting case, many musicians offered their thoughts on the issue. One rapper specifically has a message that is resonating with the struggling community: Chicago rapper Tink. On a new Timbaland-produced track called "Tell The Children," the 19-year-old newcomer takes a stand on the protests and warns of what it means for future generations while spitting some harsh truths. The song was played multiple times this morning on Power 105.1's The Breakfast Club.

"King died for us n***as living in poverty / 50 years later, we still don't have equality / Bade is a pass to do whatever / So now we livin' in fear of the people here to protect us / Yo, they lie and disrespect us / Kill us, and then neglect us," she raps. "The problem when nobody / Sees the view from our perspective / My people shed blood from the acres you had stole / Now my people shedding blood on the gravel left in the cold."

Twitter went crazy after the song was released this morning. Charlamagne Tha God retweeted listeners who connected with the track.

"wow that was huge @Official_Tink just got her record played 4 times in a row on @Power1051. #Chicago #Rap #HipHop #Wave"

"@Official_Tink SALUTE TO YOU!!! For speaking out and up regardless of what consequence this could have on your future livelihood/earnings"

"@cthagod WOW this is giving me chills. So on point this morning. #TELLTHECHILDREN"

"@breakfastclubam @cthagod @angelayee @djenvy Run that #TellTheChildren back again...on repeat for everybody to hear...we NEED this..."

Tink changed her profile picture to a photo of Mike Brown and asked her fans to "Pray for ferguson right now."

Timbaland has been singing Tink's praises recently, and now the Chicago femcee is being considered the next big star and being compared to Lauryn Hill and Kendrick Lamar.

"I will put my whole entire money in my account on her," Timbaland told The Breakfast Club. "She is a superstar. In today's music, she's probably going to be the only one to me that resonates sales because she got it."
