Steve Aoki has been accused of many things, playing pre-recorded sets, being an excellent cake thrower and resting on his dad's laurels to achieve his current level of success, but he has never been accused of imitating someone else. Now someone else has attempted to impersonate Steve Aoki and they did it remarkably well. Jarrad Seng, a photographer working in the music industry decided to dress up as Steve Aoki for a day at Stereosonic. The results once you see the resemblance probably won't surprise you (via In The Mix).

Seng, who admits that people confuse him with Aoki all the time, already has the face and the hair to create the confusion between him and Aoki. For this stunt he decided to go all out, hiring a makeup artist to add a professionally done beard to complete the look and be "Aokified."

He then installed a hidden camera that followed him around and the hilarity began. Seng took hundreds of pictures and selfies over the span over several hours walking the festival grounds with people who must now be so disappointed that their picture with Steve Aoki was too good to be true.

It got awkward when he went to go see Steve Aoki play at the main stage and walked through the crowd, with festivalgoers wondering why he wasn't on stage. Many people didn't put two and two together that he was just Steve's doppelganger and not the real deal.

Apparently Steve Aoki did see Seng during the set according to a brief recording of a radio interview and thought it was pretty funny.

The real Steve Aoki has a busy schedule to finish out the year, finishing out the Stereosonic tour in Australia before stopping off in Singapore and Indonesia. He finishes out the year in the Western Hemisphere with gigs at Hakkasan in Las Vegas and then in Vancouver, Canada with Tiësto on New Years Eve.
