Back in October, Bon Iver frontman Justin Vernon announced that he would be launching the Eaux Claires Music & Arts Festival in his hometown of Eau Claire, Wisconsin, and today (Dec. 17), it was revealed that Vernon will be curating the festival himself along with The National guitarist Aaron Dessner. The festival will take place on July 17 and 18, with tickets going on sale tomorrow, Dec. 18, at noon CST.

"Having this festival right in my backyard gives me and the guest artists a chance to share familiar work and new creations in a setting close to my heart and different than any other stage in the world," Vernon said in a statement posted to the festival's website. "To create this event within view of the Chippewa River — the very river that defines this place — makes it all the more meaningful."

Though no artists have yet been announced for the Eaux Claires lineup, the festival's website promises that it will be announced in early 2015, and will be "one of the most diverse and special festival lineups of the year, featuring performances and collaborations you won't see at any other event in 2015."

"Justin and I have been friends and collaborators for years," Aaron Dessner said about how be came to be involved in the festival (via Pitchfork). "Working together to create and curate Eaux Claires is something we've been talking about for a long time. To finally see it come together, and to imagine the music, art, and community the festival will bring together, is very exciting."

As Dessner mentions, he and Vernon have collaborated prior to his involvement with the Eaux Claires festival. In 2009, the two released the song "Big Red Machine" together for the Red Hot Organization benefit compilation Dark Was The Night, which Dessner produced with his brother (and fellow National guitarist) Bryce Dessner.
