LL Cool J is back with a new song off his upcoming album, G.O.A.T. 2, called "Know Your Name," featuring Jeremy Austin on the hook.

"I knew you had to get your cake up / Money on your mind when you wake up / That's why you're quick to break up / Then make up at Jacob," he raps in between lines where he recites lists of girls' names.

LL previously shared the tracks "Break Your Face," "I'm Nice," "The Hustler," and "You Already" this year. G.O.A.T. 2 will follow up his 2000 effort.

In an interview with Shade 45's VIP Saturdays from this summer, he talked about his motivation behind the sequel.

"The whole G.O.A.T. 2 project is so exciting. ...I'm not doing the music for no money. I'm doing it because I love it and because I've been a part of damn near ever era of hip-hop. When I get little kids coming up to me and they don't know I ever made music, then I say, 'Okay I need to do an album' and let them see what it is," he said.

"Generations change and things change," continued. "And rightfully so, there's nothing wrong with that, but when you get to a point where people are like, 'Oh, he makes music? Oh he raps?' For some people that sounds sacrilegious but then there's a generation that don't know. That inspired me. I said, ok then I gotta go ahead and give it to them and show 'em what's what and show 'em the difference. ...It's time for me to give 'em an album. But a real joint that's for the hood that's for the people not like me trying to see how big I can be. But it's more about just being real; it's about the roots, the touching down, touching the ground."
