It continues to be a big year for BIGBANG and the individual members that comprise the popular South Korean group. Taeyang, considered by some to be the "lead" vocalist for the group, dropped a new single to promote his forthcoming second solo album.

"Ringa Linga" is the first solo cut from Yaeyang since 2010, when he released his solo debut, Solar. The track opens with a few minutes of hip-hop- the performer begins the first verse with the classic "Y-to-the-A-to-the..." spelling of his own name-before launching into several verses that blend Korean with bits of English. There's a bridge of sorts, where Taeyang takes a turn for the R&B, but he ends on the synth-laden hook produced by fellow BIGBANG member G-Dragon.

Being a K-Pop single, there are of course music videos (yes, two). The first is the style of blowout affair one would expect (especially after watching Dragon's "Coup d'Etat" video earlier this year). Taeyang and a dance squad cavalcade around an industrial wasteland, which is sometimes lit for a rave, sometimes on fire. Dragon makes a visual guest appearance, riding shotgun in a gutted sedan. The second video is more modest, and appears to be a final rehearsal for the final product. Taeyang and dancers perform the song live with a simpler background.

BIGBANG performed its first international tour within the last year, and G-Dragon released his most recent album, also titled Coup d'Etat, on September 13. The performer worked with Missy Elliott and Diplo among others for the album. There's no release date announced yet for Taeyang's second album.
