Fred Armisen (Saturday Night Live and Portlandia) and his buddy J Mascis (Dinosaur Jr.) shared the stage last week at Boston's Berklee College of Music. Mascis and Armisen have worked together before, with Mascis making an appearance on Portlandia this year as well as performing at Armisen's SNL send off show.

Along with Christian rock singer Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer) and drummer Michael Lerner (Telekinesis), the group took on a cover of the seminal TLC hit "Waterfalls" for the crowd. According to Stereogum, this is not the first time Armisen has attempted the song. Back in February he and a group of friends performed it at New York's Bowery Ballroom.

This time around Nash took on lead vocals, which were great, but we had kind of hoped to hear Armisen take a whack at it to really give the tune a makeover. We personally prefer the February version, but take a listen for yourself and compare the two performances below. Let us know what you think in our comments section!
