Prince always comes up with a new way to surprise fans with live performances, either by giving a certain city multiple shows in a row, or even announcing a performance the day of. This time, Prince has scheduled a trio of shows at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut, according to Rolling Stone.

It will start on Friday, Dec. 27, then Saturday, Dec. 28 and ends on Sunday, Dec. 29. Tickets for the performances will go up at 10 p.m. EST on Dec. 6 through Ticketmaster. If these shows are like most of Prince's gigs, they will likely sell out lightening fast.

The pop icon has surprised local fans in his hometown Minneapolis recently with last minute parties announced at his Paisley Park studio. 2,000 fans lined up around the studios in the suburb Chanhassen hoping to get in. Then, two weekends later he sent out announcement for an exclusive pajama party at his studios.

Leave it to Prince to have 2 a.m. pajama and breakfast party where fans were treated with pancakes. Only downside for partygoers was that there was no reentry, no alcohol allowed, and no cell phones allowed. That makes sense, but who wouldn't want to snap pictures at that event.

The party was tied to his latest single, "Breakfast Can Wait." Despite his notorious resistance to anything on the Internet, Prince made his Twitter debut back in August, sending tweets from his group's account, 3RDEYEGIRL. A little behind the times perhaps, but he has used it to promote "Breakfast Can Wait" and now a new single called "Da Bourgeoisie."
