Puddle of Mudd have been able to maintain relevance in the rock world mainly thanks to the antics of frontman Wes Scantlin. As Stereogum notes, the "Blurry" singer has a lengthy rap sheet that includes alleged domestic abuse, chainsawing a patio and taking a swim in an off-limits pool at Graceland. He kept the streak alive recently at the Denver International Airport after riding a baggage carousel and going into a secured zone.

According to the police report, Scantlin was arrested after "he was seen running behind the baggage carousel and coming 'out of the secured area through an alarmed door.' Police say the area behind the baggage carousel is restricted, and has signs that clearly say 'keep out' and 'do not ride carousel' posted on the public side" (via 9News).

A devoted Puddle of Mudd fan (that doesn't sound right) bailed Scantlin out of jail, allowing him to join the band a few hours late at their scheduled gig.

"Puddle of Mudd finally on stage I apologize to all of those who left early I hope you enjoyed Lola Black, Horse and Drug under. Those of you that stayed I hope you love Puddle of Mudd cause we will NEVER book them again," promoter Rock Panther Presents posted after the ordeal

Scantlin hasn't been charged yet and he apologized to fans via Facebook (see below).

For those who forgot, Puddle of Mudd rose to fame in the early 2000s after the release of their second album, Come Clean. They scored mega hits with "Blurry" and "She Hates Me." The record hit number nine on the Billboard 200.

It's been downhill for the band every since. Their last album, Volume 4: Songs in the Key of Love & Hate, made it to 95 on the charts. The band looks to have a new album in the works, having dropped a new single, "Piece of Action," in October.
