The Voice season seven winner Craig Wayne Boyd is already making a bit of a splash in the country music world. His coronation single "My Baby's Got a Smile on Her Face" debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, he performed at The Grand Ol Opry and he's set to appear on the country festival circuit next year with a performance at Faster Horses 2015. And now, he's set to release his new album. And at least one song is inspired by his journey on the hit NBC reality competition that is helping to make him a star.

In a new interview with Rolling Stone Country, Boyd revealed that he's prepping to release his new album on his new label Dot Records. And unlike other artists who win reality shows, Boyd's album has been in the works for quite some time and is going to include songs that he's been working on for years.

Boyd, who was still writing the record while he was on The Voice, actually took a little inspiration from his time on Blake Shelton's team for a new song.

"The last song that I wrote was the last week on The Voice," he told RS County. "It's funny, I was walking around the set as [the number of finalists] got smaller and smaller -- it was down to five of us -- and people would say, 'Hey, it's Craig Wayne Boyd!' And I'd say, 'Yep, I'm still here!' So I wrote a story of my musical journey up to this point."

The album has yet to receive any details. But until then, Boyd will be keeping busy opening up for Rascall Flatts in Las Vegas.
