It was just two short weeks ago that Ian Somerhalder first confirmed his engagement to girlfriend of 6 months, Nikki Reed, and already some nasty rumors have started. Of course they involve Somerhalder and his ex, Nina Dobrev. The two dated for three years and still work together on the set of The Vampire Diaries, which seemed to make their split nearly unbearable at first. Now we're hearing that part of what eased away the pain is the fact that the former lovebirds are still very hands-on while at work.
According to a report by The Hollywood Life, Dobrev and Somerhalder don't try to hide their continued closeness from co-workers either. "Nina walked in and sat next to Ian on the pew. When she sat down, she immediately leaned her head on his shoulder and just sat there for a few minutes until it was time to roll," explained a source. His romance with Reed has reportedly been absolutely crushing to Dobrev because back when she and Somerhalder were dating, they often spent time with her and her then-husband, Paul McDonald. Not only did Dobrev lose her love but she lost him to her former bestie.
It's probably a safe bet that Reed would flip if she knew for sure that her man was getting at all cozy with his ex, right? What do you think is the real deal in this messed up love triangle?
