Being in a band, even a well-know outfit such as Killswitch Engage, doesn't always bring home enough so sometime you need to take on a second source of income. For guitarist Adam Dutkiewicz, that meant going on The Price Is Right. Not only did he compete...he won. Big time. The performer brought home two cars (worth more than $50,000 in cash) for his efforts (from Metal Injection).

Things started simply enough (and you can watch the full video below the story) as Dutkiewicz got past the original estimate round by bidding higher than the rest of the competition. He then took to the "Money Game" to attempt to guess the value of (and therefore win) a Honda Fit. He got the first two digits fairly easily but then it came down to the wire, with him correctly guessing the last two on his final try. He appropriately flips his wig, yelling indecipherably as Drew Carey notes "that's a Price Is Right contestant right there."

He then goes to compete to partake in the final showcase, needing to spin the wheel and get higher than .60 without going over a dollar. He lands .85 and consequently flips out again (this is commonplace for Price Is Right contestants). It should be noted that as the wheel spun he used his opportunity to give a shout-out to say hi to his dog, Steve.

During the final showcase, two contestants bid on different prize packages and the one who comes closest to actual value takes home the prize (which in this case was a Nissan Frontier truck). He narrowly edged his opponent, winning by a mere $101. By this point he was almost out of animal yowls to howl to the crowd, jogging over to the truck in his sandals while his supporters flooded the stage.

Alternative Press notes that Dutkiewicz is a confirmed Price Is Right fan: during Underoath's Define The Great Line DVD, he is seen watching the show in the studio, critiquing the approach of a final-round contestant.
