Kanye West has ambition no matter what industry he's trying to conquer. The rapper recently told Style.com that he wants to be "the Steve Jobs of The Gap." Yeezy's new Adidas Originals clothing line debuted over the weekend, so the mega star shared his influences and vision with the fashion website. And in true Kanye form, he explained that he hasn't been reading any of the reviews of the clothing line.

Ye said that one of his dreams was to be the creative director of The Gap, Rolling Stone notes. An interesting choice considering how mainstream the clothing retailer is, but if someone could turn it around and make it "cool," it would be Kanye. The rapper seemed to go on the defensive when asked about who his influences were for the new clothing line.

"You guys know my f*cking influences. I've got four influences and it's written all over the face, you know the combination. Just as much as Drake is influenced by Kanye West, you know my f*cking influences," he said.

In case you didn't know who his influences were, Yeezy dropped Margiela and Helmut Lang, saying that he basically studied the latter's work for years.

Reviews of the new Adidas clothing line haven't been amazing. The headline for a review by The Cut reads "Kanye West Hadn't Graduated Fashion School Yet." Bloomberg chimed in with "Does Kanye West's Insane Adidas Collection Count as Fashion?" But Yeezy explained that the design was created by a team, not just him.

"I don't read the reviews, because it's some kind of backhanded compliment or something focusing on not the main point. It was really difficult to do this. It would be difficult to make a proposition this simple for any designer. So many people told me that it had to have logos or it had to have this, but I fought for exactly what I wanted in my closet," West added.
