Christmas is coming up in just a matter of days and you're trying to get some last-minute gifts together so why not make a great mixtape for a special someone this year? A gift from the heart is always a great way to show someone how much you care for them, so lets compile some new tracks for a very special addition of Mixtape Monday. This week we have brand new songs from Hudson Mohawk, Charles Bradley, Black Lips and more!

We'll open this new compilation with the newest track from the garage-rock outfit Black Lips. These rockers teamed with The Black Keys' drummer Patrick Carney for their seventh release, Underneath the Rainbow, coming out in 2014 and the first taste of this new album is "Boys in the Woods."

RIYL: Modest Mouse, The Replacements, Girls

We'll keep this new mix moving right along with the latest song from Cherry Glazerr. "Haxel Princess" is the title track off of this trio's debut album coming out in early 2014 and it is a great taste of how loud this garage-rock outfit can get!

RIYL: Speedy Ortiz, Marnie Stern

Let's take a step out of the garage and into the ... computer lab, I guess. Hudson Mohawk is best known as one-half of TNGHT, but his new song "Structure" is definitely a great example of how he can set himself apart from his other work.

RIYL: TNGHT, Diplo, Four Tet

For some reason there were a number of incredible covers released last week, which is great for our mixtape and us! Enjoy some updated versions of great songs thanks to Anna Calvi, Mountain Man, Charles Bradley and Tears for Fears!

This next track is a Christmas cover from psych-rockers Sleepy Sun. Adding their own style to the classic "What Child is This?," the Dine Alone Records outfit is wishing you a trippy Christmas this year.

RIYL: Christmas ... on drugs?

Topshelf Records has been able to corner a certain resurgence market over the last few years that continues to grow. The label's latest addition, Special Explosion, is just another great example of young bands doing it right. Check out the song "Lifeguard."

RIYL: Built to Spill, Tigers Jaw, New Pornographers

Have you ever wondered what a band made up of Sufjan Stevens, Serengeti and Son Lux would sound like? If so, Sisyphus is exactly that and the debut track "Calm It Down" will definitely answer that question.

RIYL: the performers that make up this band!

This mix is perfect for sharing with someone special in your life that you wanted to give something special to for the holiday. Though there only one Christmas song on this list, you can show this person that you're not buying into the commercialization of the holiday and that you're up with the latest tracks.
