Ever wanted to see KISS on ice? Well that's not exactly happening, but Gene Simmons and company are scheduled to perform at Dodger Stadium as part of the NHL 2014 Coors Light Stadium Series. For the first-ever outdoor hockey game in Los Angeles, the L.A. Kings are taking on the Anaheim Ducks on January 25.

KISS will be there to perform before the game and during the first intermission, according to Billboard. The game and performance will air on NBC Sports Network in the U.S. and on CBC and RDS2 in Canada.

The event aims to blend Hollywood and the NHL for an entertainment extravaganza at Dodger Stadium. "Los Angeles is the premier hub for sports and entertainment in this country, and we are honored to be part of an event that fuses both by rocking the first-ever outdoor NHL game in LA," Simmons said in a statement Thursday.

Simmons and KISS bandmate Paul Stanley are taking their foray into sports even further with a new arena football team, LA KISS, which will debut at the Honda Center in Anaheim.

As Billboard notes, the announcement of KISS's performance followed the 2014 Bridgestone NHL Winter Classic on Wednesday, which took place in Ann Arbor, Michigan and set an all-time NHL attendance record with 105,491 fans at Michigan Stadium.
