The Top Dawg Entertainment rapper ScHoolboy Q goes back to school for a day as principal of a Baltimore high school.

Students at Maritime High School in Baltimore, got to experience what life would be like if Schoolboy Q was in charge. In coordination with Get Schooled, a national nonprofit, the TDE rapper spent time at the high school last Wednesday March 11, in an effort to motivate and inspire students.

According to Billboard, the rapper interviewed with Baltimore radio host Johnny "Porkchop" Doswell. He relayed, "Keep working, don't listen to nobody, if you believe in yourself, believe in yourself," Q said. "If plan A don't work, work on another plan A."

During his visit, he also spoke with aspiring musicians saying, "I see a lot more creativity," Billboard reported. "It's a lot more rappers so a lot of good stuff gets overlooked. The bar keeps being pushed higher and higher"

Get Schooled is a nonprofit that focuses on using teens' "key influences" to motive them in graduating high school and going to college. The organization states its implementation strategy on its site:

"Get Schooled uses the messengers (celebrities, powerful peers, pop culture events) and the means (mobile/SMS, social, web) that youth turn to; and we meet the students where they are (online, curious, etc) to deliver the information they need to be successful in their educational pursuits."

Get Schooled's Instagram featured pictures of Q playing basketball with a student, answering questions on stage and taking a massive selfie with Maritime students.

In a short Instagram video uploaded by Get Schooled, Q relays,

"I'm your celebrity principal for Get Schooled, you know, to all the kids out there stay in school basically and believe in yourself. Whatever you believe in will come true guaranteed."

Get Schooled was founded in 2010.
