Kate Middleton's second pregnancy seems to have flown by, doesn't it? Wasn't it just yesterday that we were discussing her horrid morning sickness and how she was canceling numerous appearances because of it? The duchess is long past that part of her pregnancy and actually creeping into her final weeks. While we have heard she is due in late spring, there was never any idea of a due date given by the royals themselves until Middleton made an appearance yesterday, March 18. She has cionfirmed that she is due in mid-April.

According to a report by E!, "The duchess of Cambridge broke the news to volunteers at Brookhill Children's Centre in Woolwich, where she attended a coffee breakfast before watching a training session and visiting an on-site nursery."

"I told her she is beautiful and that she's got a tiny little bump," volunteer Christie Osborne, 49, told reporters following Middleton's visit. "I asked when her baby is due and she said mid-to-end of April."

So that means that within the next month, give or take, there will be a new baby for royal watchers to obsess over. It has been rumored that Middleton and Prince William already know that they are expecting a princess this time around, so they have been debating names for a girl.

William reportedly wants to honor his late mother Princess Diana, and while Queen Elizabeth may not be too thrilled with the idea, we are hearing that he will fight for the approval of her name choice.

Are you surprised Middleton actually offered up a bit of personal information? How long do you think it will be before the press gathers outside the palace gates on royal baby watch like they did while waiting for Prince George to arrive? Why do you think the birth of a royal baby generates so much interest? Comment below.
