Teresa Giudice is used to being hounded by the press, and she also knows how to handle -- or manipulate -- things at her leisure. Now that the RHONJ star is serving 15 months behind bars for financial fraud her, shady husband Joe Giudice is left to hold down the fort, take care of their four children and navigate through rumors and bad press. Unfortunately, rather than lying low, Joe is in the middle of a cheating scandal with various outlets reporting that he was caught having an affair with a younger blonde. Teresa was likely counting the minutes for last weekend's family visit so she could handle her husband herself, but it never happened. In fact, Joe is avoiding visiting his wife in prison.

According to a report by Radar Online, Teresa's children accompanied her mother to visit her in Danbury, Connecticut, but Joe decided to skip the trip altogether. The reality star was supposedly furious that he decided not to man up and show his face so they could deal with things.

There is actually a lot that these two need to discuss besides Joe's possible infidelity, like the status of their New Jersey home. After slashing the price still did not generate any interest, Joe decided to take the house off the market and let it go into foreclosure.

The couple owes the government tons in restitution and they have four kids to pay for, so it is understandable that cash for a ridiculously high mortgage just is not in the budget, especially since the family breadwinner is in jail. The question is whether or not Teresa agreed with letting the house go or if Joe made the decision without even bothering to consult with her.

Anyway you look at it, there was plenty that needed discussing, and it was not the week to skip a visit. Insiders said Teresa has been venting about Joe like crazy behind bars, so it will be interesting to see whether or not she stands by his side when the roles reverse and he is the one serving time.

Do you think Joe's guilt kept him from visiting his wife? Tell us your thoughts in the comments section below.
