It seems like Frozen just can't "Let It Go." As the film's official soundtrack sits on top of the Billboard 200 for the second week in a row (and eyes a third week), the movie's pinnacle track "Let It Go" is notching numerous award nominations and wins.

Last night, the 2014 awards season kept trucking last night (Jan. 16) with this year's edition of the Critics' Choice Awards, and the Robert Lopez, and Kristen Anderson-Lopez penned track brought the win back to Arendelle.

Yes, even though U2 and DangerMouse's "Ordinary Love" from Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom took home the Golden Globe on Sunday for Best Original Song, "Let It Go" (sung by Idina Menzel) won last night.

And is this ceremony and Sunday night's Golden Globes are to be any indication of the 86th Annual Academy Award winners, the choice for Best Song and Best Original Score could be a total tossup. In addition to Karen O and Spike Jonze's "The Moon Song," Pharrell Williams' "Happy" and the wild card track "Alone Yet Not Alone" are also nominated for Oscars, the race is really between "Let It Go" and "Ordinary Love."

Both songs have racked up massive critical acclaim and play largely intot he narrative of their respective films. Though "Let It Go" packs a bit more of an emotional punch in the movie, U2's track now acts as a sort of tribute to Mandela, who passed away last month.

"Let It Go" wasn't the only musical winner last night. Steven Price's Gravity score won for Best Original Score.
