American Idol's season 14 finale will be getting a visit from one of the show's former judges. Last night during the top 4 reveal episode, rocker turned country singer Steven Tyler declared that he will be joining (likely final) contestant Jax for a performance of his new country single "Love Is Your Name."

Last night (April 29), the top five contestants stopped by Nashville and the Big Machine Records home base alongside season 14 advisor Scott Borchetta. Alongside meeting and working with Rascall Flatts and Martina McBride, Jax, Nick Fradiani, Clark Beckham, Rayvon Owen and eliminated contestant Tyanna Jones met up with Aerosmith frontman and former Idol judge Tyler, who was in the midst of recording his first solo country album.

After a whirlwind introduction, Tyler announced that he finally decided to explore his love of country music with the help of Borchetta and Big Machine Label Group's Dot Records.

Tyler almost immediately clicked with Idol favorite Jax, and told the 18-year-old singer, label head Borchetta and the other five contestants that the rollout plan for his new album would include a duet with Jax on the May 13 Idol finale with a performance of "Love Is Your Name."

And of course, Borchetta rolled with the punches and Jax oozed with excitement.

The announcement of Tyler on Idol means the legendary rocker is the first confirmed guest for the show's big night. He'll be treading in familiar territory - Tyler was on the judging panel alongside Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson for seasons 10 and 11.
