Justin Bieber just can't seem to catch a break these days. Following his alleged DUI, drag racing, assault, vandalism and other charges, the pop star's plane was detained on suspicion of marijuana possession after landing at a New Jersey airport yesterday. Bieber had chartered the jet to go to the Super Bowl.

According to the New York Post, the singer spent several hours in custody while the aircraft was searched. The plane reportedly reeked of pot. He was released from custody at Teterboro Airport when drug-sniffing canine cops were unable to find marijuana.

Bieber was aboard the plane with his father, Jeremy, and about ten other friends.

"He came in, the jet smelled like weed, they were doing preliminary security checks that they don't usually do as Teterboro is usually pretty relaxed, but because of the Super Bowl they're doing more security checks," a Teterboro source told the Post. "There was a big stir at the airport."

Customs dogs reportedly signaled that two pieces of luggage had traces of marijuana, though none was found, and Bieber & Co. were released.
