Diddy and Drake have reportedly ended their beef over what Diddy felt like he was slighted over the "Energy" rapper's use of the "1 to 100 / The Catch Up" beat. According to TMZ, who sites "sources close to both rappers, they spoke on the phone in April and decided to move on from this beef. They will be performing or appearing at many of the same festivals, holiday parties and awards shows this summer and it did not make sense to have this hang over their heads, giving the public license to speculate about what might happen with both superstars in the room."

According to TMZ, beyond the public appearances, the primary motivator for putting their differences aside was money. Both artists would rather build their paper stacks than go to war.

The beef between Drake and Diddy has been out of the public eye for months now, but towards the end of 2014, the feud was going strong. The dispute started when the beat for "1 to 100 / The Catch Up" was given to both Diddy and Drake by its maker Boi-1da. Diddy sat on the song, while Drake was eager to use the beat for his own recording. This apparently made Diddy angry that he was then cut out of the process once Drake recorded his version.

This escalated into physical altercation during Art Basel in Miami this past December outside of LIV Nightclub late one night. As previously reported, eyewitnesses claim that the two got into a heated yelling match outside of the club in which Diddy shouted "You Will never disrespect me!" This was then followed by a punch to Drake's already injured shoulder, which stunned him and forced him to the hospital.
