Despite playing the disappearing act with its social media accounts earlier this week, fans of The 1975 need not worry: the band has not broken up. Yesterday (June 2), the "Chocolate" group returned to Twitter and Instagram and revealed that it is, in fact, not breaking up. Instead, The 1975 is prepping a new album and European tour.

In a letter photo posted to its Twitter, The 1975 explained that its deep in the studio working on the follow-up to the 2013 debut album The 1975.

"This is the beginning of a new chapter for The 1975. Our new record signifies the starts of a new world for us, a more colourful world a less colourful world. We want to play shows we want a real shared experience we want to play HUGE shows that we never thought were possible we want to play sets at festivals that people talk about for ages cos it was fun and it was music and the weather was perfect and we want to be honest otherwise what's the f*cking point?" the letter to fans read.

The 1975 also rolled out tour dates in its native U.K. for the month of November.

No news yet on when the new album will arrive or what it's called, though the band did note fans have "known the title all along."
