Ahead of his mini LP release, Another One, Mac Demarco dropped by for a live BBC Radio 6 Music session where he performed his newest track, "The Way You'd Love Her."

The singer-songwriter will debut his latest work, following 2014's album, Salad Days, on August 7 featuring "eight freshly written songs," notes NME. Demarco performed a solo acoustic version of the fresh track, which was followed by "Let Her Go" from Salad Days and "Still Together" from 2012's sophomore album 2--both of which strayed from acoustic styling and included a full band sound.

The Canadian singer made a string of live appearances in the UK including performances at each of London's Field Day festival and Manchester International festival-he'll return in September to headline a number of shows including stops in London, Glasgow, Bristol and Birmingham. Demarco is also on the bill for Manchester's Beacons Metro festival and End Of The Road festival.

Last year, Mac Demarco explained that crafting Salad Days halted him from "being a little butthole." The tone change between 2 and Another One is attributed to touring. "I didn't have anything to be frustrated about before, but for this record it was 'touring is pretty sweet, but it's slowly killing me with all the alcohol and it's pretty insane'."

Further detailing how he transformed his emotions into upbeat tunes, he continued to say that it pushed him "out of the slump."

"This record's purpose was to bring the spirits up. It did for me, take all this stuff you're feeling and then pop yourself out of the slump," he said. "When I'm complaining, it starts off like, 'Oh boy, I'm tired', but then halfway through the songs the chorus comes in like, 'Shut up you little prick, you're able to go round the world playing shows!' I'm stopping myself being a little butthole."
