Karen O and Spike Jonze's Oscar-nominated track "The Moon Song" from Her has gotten a little makeover. Today (Feb. 10), Yeah Yeah Yeahs' Karen O and Vampire Weekend's Ezra Koenig premiered a new duet of the soundtrack song on SoundCloud for an upcoming remix EP.

According to Rolling Stone, the small song has finally received a studio version (Karen O's original Her version was recorded at her home), but the track still feels just as humble, simple and loving.

Karen O's quirky sense of small happiness radiates throughout the long-distance love song, and she trades vocal duties perfectly with Koenig, who at times harmonizes in small parts of the time and other times sings his own lines solo.

Put originally in Her during a pinnacle point in the film where Joaquin Phoenix's Theodore falls in love with his operating system Samantha (Scarlett Johansson), the odd love still is easily heard.

"The Moon Song" comes from the soundtrack to the critically-acclaimed movie Her, which features a score from Arcade Fire's Will Butler. The track is nominated for an Oscar for Best Original Song, alongside "Let It Go" from Frozen, U2's "Ordinary Love" and Pharrell Williams' "Happy" from Despicable Me 2.

The Oscars will take place on Sunday, March 2.
