Sunn O))), one of the more curiously titled and renowned bands in metal, has released a large number of bootlegs from its live shows via a new Soundcloud page. available to fans for a $5 download fee.

Among modern music acts, few are as justified in establishing a bootleg network than Sunn O))). Although not a "jam band" per se, live performances from the group don't exactly follow a setlist. The band's signature drone style and its taste for experimentation don't usually result easily classifiable tracks.

Thus while a Grateful Dead fan might eagerly look for certain songs on a live bootleg, the 67 releases currently featured on the Sunn O))) Soundcloud feature tracklists that simple say "01," a single track that lasts an hour-and-a-half or more. Although this seems like the opportune time to come up with comical faux titles, the Seattle band has never come across as being that humorous in nature (onstage, at least). The titles range from one 2015 show, in Bristol, all the way back to a 2002 gig in Portland, prior to the band donning its signature robes.

For those more interested in studio recordings, the band is supposedly planning a new LP to be released by the end of the year. Emphasis on supposedly. That said, the band hasn't released a solo album since 2009's Monoliths and Dimensions.
