When a band has an appetite for destruction such as the Guns 'n' Roses, it's tough to stay away from Las Vegas for long. The group caused all sorts of trouble the last time it took up residence in Sin City, but announced on Tuesday that it would be playing another round of shows during 2014. The "No Trickery! An Evening of Destruction" residency will take place at The Joint theater inside the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino between May 21 and June 7.

This time around, the band will only play nine shows versus the 12 dates they played during "Appetite for Democracy," the group's last Las Vegas residency, also at The Joint, during 2012. The Hard Rock apparently wasn't worried by the desire for destruction worked directly into the residency's title, but most of the trouble caused by GNR during its last stay happened outside of the theater.

Advertisements for the original series of shows featured imagery made infamous for its brief usage on the original Guns 'n' Roses' album, Appetite for Destruction. The image, by artist Robert Williams, featured a half-nude woman, having apparently been sexually violated by a robot. The image appalled retailers, and the image was replaced by the now iconic cross featuring the band members as skulls. The Hard Rock came under fire for using the painting, which has the same name as the album, on its advertising campaign.

Guitarist DJ Ashba also generated problems when he procured a helicopter from members of the LVPD to use while proposing to his fiancee. Although the band didn't take any legal fire over the incident, the police department did launch an investigation into the ride-along.
