NBC's reality competition show The Voice is losing one of its most prominent voices. Today (Feb. 19) during an appearing on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, four-season coach Cee Lo Green announced that he will not be returning to the show.

According to E! Online, Cee Lo made the announcement alongside tourmate Lionel Ritchie. "I'm going to continue my relationship with NBC. I have a television show development deal with them and hopefully some other talk show opportunities for later in the year. But, yeah, I'm going to miss The Voice, too. I'm not coming back guys."

After Ellen DeGeneres prodded him for further details, Cee Lo confirmed he was done with the show, stating he's "not coming back at all" because he doesn't want to wear out his welcome and wants to focus on releasing his first album since 2012's The Magic Moment. However, his 2014 album Girl Power will be his first non-holiday album since 2010's The Lady Killer (which spawned the mega-hit "F*** You").

Cee Lo has appeared on seasons 1, 2, 3 and 5 of The Voice, having been replaced by Usher for seasons 4 and 6 (which is set to premiere on Feb. 24), working alongside fellow star coaches Adam Levine, Christina Aguilera and Blake Shelton.

Though Aguilera has also taken two seasons off from the show (getting replaced by Shakira), Cee Lo is the first coach to officially announce he was leaving The Voice for good.

But that doesn't mean fans won't get to see Cee Lo this year. Starting on May 29, he'll be hitting the road with Lionel Richie for the All The Hits All Night Long Tour.
