The Tonight Show is finishing up its first week with Jimmy Fallon as the new host and The Roots as the new house band. Now Okayplayer has shared a behind-the-scenes documentary on The Roots' first day of work on the show.
The two-part video gives us a look inside the hours leading up to the first show. We get a peak inside Questlove's apartment that overlooks the Freedom Tower, his impressive sneaker collection and his array of sweet smelling colognes (he says he smells like a bakery). The video also shows footage of the band rehearsing the show's new theme song, which Questlove said took 11 months to write, as well as interviews with Questlove and Captain Kirk discussing their transition from Late Night to The Tonight Show?
