Tyrese may be the first musician to both star in a film with a no. 1 soundtrack (Furious 7) and have a no. 1 album of his own in the same year (Black Rose). Although he didn't contribute to the aforementioned soundtrack, his most recent album became his first to top the Billboard 200, moving 86,000 equivalent units.

That allowed him to overtake Meek Mill, who may or may not have been the third performer to top the 200 for multiple weeks during 2015. His Dreams Worth More Than Money debuted at no. 1 and also topped the four-day transitional chart as the official record release day moved to Fridays. This week the record slides to no. 2 with 63,000 copies moved.

That was barely enough to hold off the perpetual sales of Taylor Swift, who moved 62,000 copies of 1989. That will please Mill's girlfriend, Nicki Minaj, who is currently beefing with Swift.

The next new album comes in the form of Kidz Bop 29, which opens at no. 4 by selling 43,000 copies. Although the Billboard 200 now tracks equivalent sales from streams and single sales, 100 percent of Kidz Bop's sales are pure albums, as it's unavailable for those other options. Every one of the series' titles has debuted in the Top 10.

Ed Sheeran was another returnee at no. 5, as x moved another 40,000 copies. Sam Hunt follows him with Montevallo at no. 6, moving another 34,000 copies.

The last new release in this week's Top 10 goes to R5, with Sometime Last Night, which sold just under 34,000 copies. That's the second Top 10 debut this year for member Ross Lynch, who was also a member of the cast for Teen Beach 2 and its soundtrack.

The slow sales week allow a few older albums to bounce back into contention. The first is Meghan Trainor, whose Title returns to no. 8 with 26,000 copies sold. Maroon 5 is behind her with V, which sold 22,000 copies, just a few more than Sam Smith's In The Lonely Hour, which rounds off the chart at no. 10.
