Nicki Minaj and Taylor Swift aren't the only pop stars who are getting heated over the nominations for this year's MTV VMAs - Video of the Year nominees Bruno Mars and Ed Sheeran are getting into it too, WWF style. After Minaj slammed the award show and (sort of) Swift on Twitter, the two male nominees for the illustrious VOTY award joked about getting into a spat ahead of the Aug. 30 air date.

Mars and Sheeran both racked up five nods at this year's VMAs, respectively for "Uptown Funk" and "Thinking Out Loud." After Minaj fired off on MTV for snubbing "Anaconda" (shading Swift in the process), Mars decided he wanted to get in on the feuding action - and he targeted Sheeran.

"Yo I want in on this twitter Beef!! VMAs is the new WWF!! @edsheeran F*ck You!" he tweeted, igniting a feud that is sure to rock the world of pop music.

After a fan threw together a manipulated image of Mars and Sheeran spatting in a WWF-style fight, Mars once again called out his adversary.

Sheeran wasn't going to take the callout lying down. He teased Mars (who stands at 5'5" to his 5'8") about his height.

Then Mars teased Sheeran for his pun-worthy name.

And Sheeran, once again, fired back with some sick insults.

How will the newest feud in pop music play out?! Will Sheeran and Mars turn the VMAs into an actual wrestling match? The two will battle it out on Aug. 30 when the VMAs air on MTV, hosted by Miley Cyrus.
