Chris Brown has reported via Twitter that his show in Jakarta, Indonesia will be postponed due to safety concerns, although the nature of that cancellation has not been expounded upon.

"#TeamBreezyJakarta due to safety concerns my show on July 25th will be rescheduled!" he tweeted yesterday. "Let's keep spreading love around the world! #pray4peace."

Requests for further details regarding what the nature of those "safety concerns" have not been met. E-Motion Entertainment and Trilogy Live, the company promoting Brown's performance in Indonesia as part of his current Asian tour, issued a statement suggesting that fans who had tickets to the Jakarta date would be able to receive refunds beginning on August 3, and also confirmed the "safety concern" story. That said, the only details the company could provide was that Brown had provided details regarding the issues.

Brown didn't draw any correlations between the Jakarta cancellation and his being held up in the Philippines regarding allegations that the performer owes the Maligaya Development Corporation $1 million for a gig that fell through on New Year's Eve last year. According to local reports, Brown was stopped at Ninoy Aquino International Airport in Manila under charges from MDC. That incident occurred on July 22 and could easily have caused Brown some issues in arriving in Indonesia on time for Saturday's previously scheduled show. If that's the problem, Brown isn't acknowledging it.

We'll have to see if he manages to fulfill his scheduled dates in Tel Aviv on Monday and Cyprus on Tuesday before we give in to conjecture.

Jakarta fans will need to stay tuned for a potential new date. Right now Brown is slated to start a run in the United States beginning on August 12 in Kansas City. He won't have free time until October, but it's tough to imagine Brown flying out for a one-off show.
