Little Big Town has once again cancelled a slew of tour dates due to the vocal recovery of member Jimi Westbrook. The band was schedule to pick up touring behind its 'Pain Killer' run on July 31 but an announcement this weekend has declared fans will have to wait until late August to catch Big Town on the road.

"It is with deep regret that we must cancel an additional three weeks of shows in August due to doctors' orders for Jimi to rest and recuperate his voice," the band announced in a statement. "We want to come back on the road to you guys at 110 percent, and this additional time will make sure that happens! Thanks again for all of your support during this time, and for your love, patience and excitement for us to come back! We can't wait to see all of you."

All of the shows have been formally cancelled except for two: The August 1 show in St. Leonard, MD has been moved to September 25, and the gig at Turning Stone Casino in New York has been postponed, although a new date hasn't been given yet.

The band will now, hopefully, hit the road beginning on August 22 with a concert at the Eastbound Hoedown Music Festival in Newfoundland.

The band had cancelled all of its tour dates in June and July as a result of Westbrook developing a vocal polyp and requiring surgery to remove it. That break was expected to end on July 31 but it seems the band is playing it safe. The delays between performances are a bummer for Big Town, as its hit a groove with the success of single "Girl Crush" and Pain Killer was nominated for Album of The Year at the American Country Music Awards earlier this year.

Vocal ailments are tough to judge. Sam Smith was out of commission for months earlier this year, while Meghan Trainor seemed to bounce back in just a few weeks this summer.
