Hank Williams' problems with alcohol were no big secret and if her DUI is any indication, Hank's daughter Jett may have inherited more than just her daddy's talent. Williams was arrested on Tuesday morning in Lebanon, Tennessee for driving under the influence.

According to the Lebanon Democat, police Chief Scott Bowen said around 2:35 a.m. Tuesday morning officers initiated a traffic stop on a 1998 tan Jaguar for suspicion of DUI after observing the car swerve between lanes. He said officers noted the smell of alcohol coming from Adkinson and said she had slurred speech. Adkinson reportedly admitted to drinking two beers.

For Jett, a country singer herself who has toured with her dad's former band, The Drifting Cowboys, her entire life story could be a classic country song. Born to Bobbie Jett a mere five days after Hank Sr. died, she was legally adopted by his mother, Lillian Stone, in December 1954. Stone renamed her Catherine Yvonne Stone. When Lillian died in 1955, the toddler was made a ward of the state of Alabama. She was eventually adopted by parents who renamed her Cathy Louise Deupree. In the early 1980s, she discovered that not only was her biological father Hank Williams Sr., he had signed custody documents with her mother prior to her birth that gave him sole legal custody of her. In 1985, she filed a lawsuit for her portion of the country legend's estate and the Alabama State Court ruled she was the daughter of Hank Williams. On October 26, 1987, the Alabama Supreme Court ruled she was entitled to her half-share in the Williams estate, as she had been the victim of fraud and judicial error. Hank Williams, Jr. appealed the case in federal court, but the ruling stood when the United States Supreme Court refused to hear the case in 1990. The two half-siblings now share their father's estate and jointly make decisions regarding his legacy.

"It's kind of like a bad divorce," Williams told Lancaster Online of her relationship with Hank Jr. "There's a lot of emotion to our personal situations. When there's an event, we'll make appearances together and get our pictures taken together. We get along. We basically agree to disagree on everything."
