Next year, Ghostbusters will see a female-led reboot starring Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Leslie Jones and Kate McKinnon. However, the Prince of Darkness could get his own cameo. Ozzy Osbourne has been the center of rumors concerning his involvement in the film, due to his appearance on set while director Paul Feig was shooting a heavy metal concert scene. What better place for the Black Sabbath front man to shine?

Osbourne's cameo would be restricted to a recognizable responsibility, heading a heavy metal band for the impending film. The Boston Herald notes that a "spy on the scene" acquired tips that the musician was advertised in posters around town that advertised: "Rock Revenge Fest featuring Ozzy Osbourne" as part of a "12 Hour Marathon of Metal."

The Citi Wang Theatre saw a metal makeover as it transformed into the Stonebrook Theatre for the film. A casting call was released in hopes of finding metalhead extras to "play the audience at a heavy metal concert" between July 28 and 30. The Ghostbusters reboot will hit theaters on July 15, 2016 while Sony already has plans to release a male-led reboot starring Channing Tatum following next summer's film, Billboard reports. Feig has been apparent on social media by constantly sharing film teasers but has yet to mention Osbourne's association.

If the metal mogul ends up in the cast, he'll already have a few cameos under his belt. Osbourne appeared in Adam Sandler's Little Nicky in 2000 and executed voice work for 2001's Moulin Rouge and 2011's Gnomeo & Juliet, and more. Aside from his family's own reality TV show, Osbourne appeared alongside Black Sabbath on an episode of CSI to promote their reunion album, 13. As of late, however, the band has faced some internal dueling as they've recently pulled out of their own farewell show.
