Skrillex and Diplo recently sat down with journalist and interviewer Charlie Rose for a special one on two segment for PBS. The pair did their most in depth interview to date, talking about the formation of their duo, Jack Ü, being creative in 2015's dance music climate, making music with Arcade Fire and more.

Among the most interesting points that were said in the interview was when Diplo and Skrillex were talking about their creative process and used the example of a recent trip up to Canada together on the Full Flex Tour where they stopped in at Arcade Fire's studio in Montreal. They had a brief jam session with Win Butler and Régine Chassagne and though Butler originally stated that nothing was going to come from that time together, Skrillex and Diplo have different plans.

Diplo told Rose that he made loops of the session, which yielded, according to Skrillex, "an album's worth of material," and wants to have Butler record vocals over it on the producer's next trip to Montreal.

Throughout the rest of the segment, they tell the story of how they got together and describe what the growth of their careers has enabled them to do. This became apparent for them after "Where Are Ü Now," which required the trust of Justin Bieber so both producer's could do their thing to the song.

They are now afforded that luxury with Jack Ü, but it is not always that way for them.

"When you're working with an artist, it's always like a sense of negotiating," Diplo said. "A lot of times a big star will take up most of the space, and you will only have a little say in the work, but with [Jack Ü], we did 95 percent of the work and the direction it went."

This the second major on camera interview Skrillex has done in the past few months after sitting down with Katie Couric for Yahoo and even making a track with her vocals.
