Donald Glover recently took a step back from his steady acting job on NBC's "Community" to focus on his music career. Today he made good on his word and released his first single, "Centipede." Going by the moniker Childish Gambino, Glover has gained quite the following with his musing raps and his most recent track is sure to impress his fans.

This six-minute track really shows off the different styles of Gambino. According to Consequence of Sound: "it begins as an a cappella ballad, morphs into Gambino spitting rhymes about his latest girl ("Damn we went to Venice/ Prioritize all our lies and make you into a business"), and finally comes to a close with a barrage of trunk-rattling bass."

What did you think of this new track? Is it worth losing Glover on "Community"?

"Community" showrunner Dan Harmon recently shared his emotional take on the departure of glover from the show.

"It's devastating, the idea. It's heart-wrenching," Harmon said. "He has my absolute full support doing whatever he wants to do. He's one of the most intimidatingly talented people I've ever had the pleasure of writing words for. [Losing] Troy is like the left arm being removed from your body. ... You have to acknowledge it and handle it. ... We're gonna charge in, we're gonna make eye contact with the tragedy that is his departure, and we're gonna turn it into a story and we're gonna feel the feels and laugh the laughs and deal with it."

When asked if Glover (and fellow departing cast member Chevy Chase) would be replaced, Harmon responded, "'Has the dynamic in the cast completely changed? ... Does something need to be done to offset that?' The answer is absolutely yes."
