Yesterday marked an important day in music history. All over the world, stars and fans of the late great "King of Pop," Michael Jackson, paid homage to the fallen icon in the form of social media messages for his birthday. In honor of the musical legend's special day, Jay Z (Sean Carter), joinsed Instagram, made his first post and then deactivated the account. The music mogul and rapper took to Instagram to post a picture of he and the deceased star before he decided to delete the account altogether early Sunday morning, not even reaching the 24 hour marker.

The entire move was something completely out character for the businessman. The Tidal owner took to the gram under the handle of @Hovsince96 and and shared the photo, captioned, "Happy birthday to the King! This may be my first and last post."

True to his word, 14 hours later, Jay Z deactivated his account. Unfortunately for fans, we'll just have continue to look to his better half -- Beyonce -- to catch a fleeting glimmer of the duo's fabulous life. However, it appears the Magna Carter Holy Grail rapper may have bigger fish to fry as according to International Business Times, his newest investment, music streaming service Tidal, is in trouble and has a life expectancy of about a year or less.

Tidal and Apple Music were allegedly at odds over the weekend after Apple reportedly threatened Tidal with a $20 million lawsuit if they streamed Drake's performance at the Lil Wayne's Lil Weezyana Fest that took place on Friday (August 28th).
