The first week of March proved to be an exciting time in the music world. We had so many great new tracks to choose from for our mixtape this week, but our top ten choices are here for your listening pleasure. With new songs from Netherfriends, The Pass and many more, we're sure you'll be as excited about this mix as we are!

The constantly touring Netherfriends (one-man-band and loop pedal perfectionist Shawn Rosenblatt) released P3ACE (pronounced "3 Peace") last week and you should not be sleeping on this new record. "Never Going Back" is the opener for our new mixtape and we're so excited to share it with you.

RIYL: Yeasayer, Kanye West, Arms

SZA (also known as Solana Rowe) is possibly most known for her appearances on stage with Kendrick Lamar in 2013 for performances of songs like "Poetic Justice" and "Swimming Pools," but the soul singer has just released her new song "Babylon" this week and we're still grooving to it days later.

RIYL: Solange, Rhye

Check out the music video for "Babylon" HERE!

Chairlift's Caroline Polachek is coming out with a solo project in 2014 called Ramona Lisa. Her debut track "Backwards and Upwards" is a great little dance number that shows great potential for this venture.

RIYL: Chairlift, Polica, Braids

Keeping in the mood of getting down and dancing, The Pass offered up the new track “The Same” that has us tapping our toes and bobbing our heads. It’s hard not to appreciate a pop song done very well that’s reminiscent of great acts of the last decade. Pay attention to the Pass because we can almost promise you that this will be a huge band.

RIYL: Phoenix, The Killers

This week also saw some great releases that came from collaborations of great artists. Here are some new tracks thanks to teamwork from Frank Ocean, The Clash and Diplo; Kendrick Lamar and Tame Impala; and Lorde and Son Lux:

Vivian Girls bassist Katy Goodman has made a name for herself outside of the great punk outfit, namely with her solo project La Sera. Mixing the punk influences with a sense of rockabilly, her new song “Loosing to the Dark” makes us all want to buy all of the tickets to her 2014 tour.

RIYL: Vivian Girls, Lesley Gore

Everything about the Pagiins has us intrigued. The Arkansas-based fuzzy punk outfit named its latest song “Yeti Spaghetti” and that’s enough to catch everyone’s attention. But since the song is so great, we’ve decided to share it with you!

RIYL: Cloud Nothings, Thee Oh Sees, Ty Segall

Doe Paoro’s new song “Walking Backwards” closes out this week’s mix, bringing it to a soulful-yet-dark conclusion. Paora’s demanding vocals mask the despair of the song, but we still manage to become enthralled with the lyrics.

RIYL: Bon Iver

Do you have a friend that’s looking for a great playlist for his or her morning commute? This new mixtape will definitely suffice! Enjoy the week of music and keep your ears up for this week’s new tracks.
