Last night, Jimmy Fallon went into fanboy mode when Billy Joel stopped by The Tonight Show. Before performing a rendition of “You May Be Right” with Fallon, Joel sat down to talk about his new channel on Sirius and the possibility of hosting a segment with Fallon while crashing Hamptons radio station WLNG.

“I guess they want me to program some music that I like to listen to and talk about what we like to listen to on the road,” he said about his new channel. “But I don’t know. I’m going to wing it.”

Joel also recounted his time performing in Russia back when it was the Soviet Union. Then they formed a two-man doo-wop group and used the iPad app Looper to perform “The Lion Sleeps Tonight.”

Fallon’s dream continued as he joined Joel onstage for “You May Be Right.” He really added the “lunatic” element to the song as he sang, danced, played air sax, slid across the piano and dropped to his knees.
