No Limit Records founder and friend of Lamar Odom, Master P, is laying it all on the table as to what he believes caused the downward spiral of the NBA star's basketball career and it has everything to do with his marriage and affiliation to Khloe Kardashian, his stint on the reality show Keepin Up With The Kardashians and former teammate Kobe Bryant.

Media mogul Percy Miller, also known by his rap name Master P, recently spoke candidly with TMZ Sports about his longtime friend, Lamar Odom, who is still hospitalized after being found unconcious in a Nevada brothel. Miller opened up on what he believed ultimately hurt Odom's career and return to basketball.

He explained how Odom's current medical condition is "a sad situation" and how he's known the former Los Angeles Clippers player for many years, and acted as his "mentor." Miller explained how the only thing that Odom wanted to do was play basketball and when that didn't happen for him, he sought out other alternatives and connected with Khloe Kardashian and her family.

"He thought that the show was going to help him after basketball," Miller explained to TMZ. The former rapper explained how the connection to the reality show was a publicity stunt and it was fake at first but, "once he got into it, he tried to make it work" and he actually loved Khloe.

The No Limit Records executive believes that the NBA blackballed the former player because of "what he was into" - the reality show.

Miller also spoke directly about Odom's friendships and affiliations with former teammates who he believes are "phony and fake" and could have done more to help Odom return to the game.

The 48-year-old refers to former teammate Kobe Bryant by name in mentioning what he could've done to help Odom's situation.

"All this man wanted to do was play basketball, if Kobe was his friend...Kobe like, own the team," Miller told TMZ. "He could've got the man back on the team." He explained how Bryant could've gotten him in the training camp if he really cared, but chose not to do so.

Odom has had his struggles with drug abuse dating back to his days as a player and recent reports even suggest that drug usage could have played a big part in what caused his current medical state. CNN reported that the former NBA player had been using cocaine on Saturday, the same day he checked into the Dennis Hof Love Ranch, and was found unresponsive four days later.

Odom remains in hospital care where the Kardashian family members are reportedly by his side.
