Kanye West had better watch out. Though the race is still five years away, it looks like he already has some stiff competition for his 2020 Presidential bid. As USA Today reports, Lindsay Lohan took to Instagram this Friday to announce that she, too, would be entering the race to be the leader of the free world.

After her massive success in films like Mean Girls, Lohan’s career has taken a bit of a dive as of late. Stories of drug use and controversy have followed her around in recent years, causing her celebrity status to quickly wane. Ever since her 2007 arrest for driving under the influence and possessing cocaine, Lohan has been unable to escape the scrutiny of the media. However, it seems Lohan has found a new avenue to the spotlight, and feels she is the best woman for the job. Regarding her policies when in office, Lohan told Instagram, “The first thing I would like to do as President of is take care of all of the children suffering in the world.” The actress says she learned this from Queen Elizabeth, who welcomed her to the UK.

Lohan may benefit from President Obama’s salient advice to presidential hopeful Kayne West. According to Business Insider, Obama told the popular entertainer, “You’ve got to spend a lot of time with some strange characters who pretend they’re on a reality TV show.” He went on to say, “Saying you have a Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy—that’s what’s known as ‘off-message’ in politics.”

Lohan, too, may have to change her rhetoric a bit to appear more palatable to the American public. However, with West as her main competition thus far, the bar for controversial comments in the race is likely very high. Lohan does not seem particularly interested in courting controversy any longer, as her focus now appears to be combating child suffering and making a difference.
