Jay Z recently called Drake out on the "We Made It (Remix)" with Jay Electronica, and Papoose may be next in line.

In an interview with the NY Daily News, Papoose was nothing less than cocky, taking great pride in his own rap skills. He even went as far as to say he is better than Jay Z.

"Nobody is better than me -- Jay-Z, nobody," Papoose said. "None are more lyrically inclined than me. None of them. I'm definitely the king of New York. I am the greatest out of New York. When I look in the mirror, I don't see Jay Z -- I see Papoose. More power to him, but he's not better than me."

Although he rarely gets any radio play in New York, Papoose says he is sticking to his guns and will release a mixtape every month.

"It's not going to stop me," he said of the lack of spins. "I'm going to release a body of music every month. I don't feel like there's no artist out there doing that."

Throughout the interview, he continued to praise himself.

"My pen game is the most immaculate," Papoose said. "I bring the most to the table on every level, concept, substance."

Papoose released his debut studio album last March after many delays, mixtapes and a failed deal with Jive. The album was released independently and has sold 17,000 copies, according to Nielsen SoundScan.
